Cottonwood Campground
Chinle, AZ 86503
Date Visited: October 2016
Site: #30, BACK-IN, NO HOOKUPS
We paid: $14 PER NIGHT
Review: They only take cash for the campground. It’s a short distance from the Visitor Center, and you choose your own site upon arrival (no reservations). The sites are pretty and many are under cottonwood trees.
The park felt a little disorganized. Staff weren’t particularly helpful. It can be very hot in this area, though it wasn’t too bad on this day, and we were able to leave the RV to do the White House Ruins hike and a scenic drive.
We would not stay here again unless we really wanted to go back to Canyon de Chelly.
