Review: Emerald Desert only allows motorhomes, and you will see some huge ones here. Sites are large, with concrete slabs, and spread out over the grass. There are some trees scattered about.
Bathrooms are only in the clubhouse, and they sometimes have breakfast or movies available at the clubhouse. Pickleball and tennis courts are on site, plus a pool. They also do a lot of RV storage here. You’re right next to the freeway and train tracks, but it wasn’t too noisy. Wifi is included.
Site #73 was right next to the pickleball court (a plus), but people used it as a walkway to get to the other side of the complex (a minus). I think it’s one of the last sites they fill for that reason, so if you’re there in high season (winter), be aware of that problem. Otherwise, we liked Site #73, and the cats did too.
Be sure to reserve ahead if you go there in the winter or early spring. It’s pretty popular! We would consider staying here again, although it is pretty pricey.
