Review: This park is located in a very pretty location and the turn off into the park is on a fairly isolated road, so it’s not too busy. But it’s a narrow, windy road to get there. There are trees around the perimeter, but not between sites, so not much privacy.

The bathrooms and showers were not great, especially in the winter. We learned an important lesson about our heaters on this trip. The electric heat pump doesn’t work if it’s below 36 degrees outside and the propane heater couldn’t keep up with the cold. We bought a couple of space heaters the next day, which we’ve rarely had to use since.

Very friendly, helpful staff. You can buy on-board propane there. And the park is very convenient to Gold Country sights. We might not stay here again, though; looking for something just a little less rustic.
