Review:

Baby Nugget RV Park is part of the Nugget City complex outside of Watson Lake, Yukon Territory. The whole property includes a restaurant, gift shop, RV park, dump station, RV wash, and hiking trails.

This RV campground is about 20 minutes west of Watson Lake and campsites are in the forest on mostly level, very long gravel/dirt sites separated by pine trees.

They only take cash and this is a no-frills campground, but it was pleasant among the trees and we didn’t hear much highway noise, especially later in the evening.

The sani-dump (dump station) worked fine, and they have recycle bins for a variety of recycling items. The RV wash took only toonies, and there was no way to get change at 8:00 a.m., since the office, restaurant, and gift shop were all closed. So, we couldn’t use the RV wash. The pie and ice cream at the restaurant were over-priced and not that great. The gas pumps at Nugget City worked fine, so we didn’t have to go into town on our way back.

Getting gas in Watson Lake was challenging, but the Tags gas station worked out fine.

Though this campground was no frills, it was pleasant to be among the trees and out of town, but still close enough to visit the Signpost Forest. We stayed here in both directions, going to and from Alaska. It’s very close to the turnoff for the Cassiar Highway. We would stay here again if we came up either the Alaska Highway or the Cassiar Highway.
