REVIEW

Many reviews talk about the lack of privacy here, and they are not wrong.  There are almost no trees or bushes in this campground, so you see everyone around you.

On the other hand, you have a beautiful view of the badlands from multiple angles, so we think the lack of privacy is a small price to pay (besides, what are you doing in the campground when you should be exploring this beautiful park?).

All sites are pull-through on the side of the road, so you do feel like you’re just on a shoulder, but there isn’t very much traffic.  It might be better to get a site on one of the outer loops for a little more room.

There is a water fill and dump station near the group campground before you enter the main campground.  This campground had excellent ranger talks and volunteers who set up telescopes to view the dark sky.  It is also close to the Visitor Center and the main road from which to explore the badlands.
