Review:

For a small town, Valdez has several RV campgrounds. Bear Paw is actually in two locations. The main park is near the harbor and a few restaurants. The Adult Park (all visitors must be at least 18 years old), where we stayed, is right on the water, and that’s what makes this RV campground better than all the others.

Check-in was a bit confusing. The office is at the main campground, and the gentleman seemed to have difficulty finding space for all four of our rigs. He didn’t think we could all stay on the water (switching sites after the first night), even though I had been promised that by Priscilla over the phone.

But, they did have a guy in a pickup lead us over to the campground and help direct us to our back-in sites, which was helpful. Even though only one of us had a water site for the first night, the other sites did have a view of the mountains, which were beautiful.

Sites are gravel and required some help to make them level, but the hookups all worked fine.

After the first night, Priscilla came over and told us we could have three more sites on the water, so we moved our rig across the way.

The showers, restrooms and laundry area were very clean, and the wifi worked really well.

We would definitely stay here again if we were traveling to Valdez.
