Review: We stayed in this campground to be within driving distance of La Mauricie National Park. Good location, just a few minutes’ walk to the beach and bikepath, with friendly staff.

Otherwise, there’s not much to recommend this place. The sites were damp and uneven, close together, in a very buggy area. Our site had reverse polarity with the electric, so we had to plug into another nearby site. Several water spigots had leaks. The place felt kind of rundown, with a fair number of seasonal campers.

Having said that, when we had a flat tire on our RV, we got good help from the owner and the neighbors across the street from the campground, so we left feeling good about the people of Port St-Francois. We probably wouldn’t stay here again, though. Look for something across the river in the Trois-Rivieres area.
