Review: This campground is a long drive from anywhere, but very pretty. Originally we chose Site #58 for the view and the shade, but we couldn’t get our motorhome to level, so we had to move to Site #60, not as good a view, but still quite shaded.

You can walk from the campground along a boardwalk to the beach, where we saw several white-tailed deer.

Sites are on asphalt and vary greatly in terms of leveling. They are just carved into the bushes on the dunes, so some are quite tight. It’s a very pretty area, but you may not get the best site, since they are first come, first served.

We would probably stay here again if we came to Cape Hatteras, but only in the spring. It would be way too hot in summer.
