REVIEW

The road into the state park is a bit steep and narrow, but do-able–go slow.  Register at the Visitor Center, and then wind your way into the campground.  Follow their directions because it is not intuitive.

The campsites are oriented in the wrong direction, so even though our site was pull-through, the door was facing out toward the road.  Not a big deal, since the campground was almost empty, but might be annoying on a busy night.

Campsites are electric-only, and you’ll need the hook-up to run your AC in the heat.  The pull-through curve was a little narrow, but do-able for our 31-footer.

The campsites are right on the Missouri River, and there is a mowed walking path along the river for quite a ways (lots of mosquitoes).  Every campsite has a plaque commemorating a North Dakota governor–that was kind of interesting.

Lots of trees and shade, and if you can avoid the bugs, this is a nice place to be!
