Review: Our first choice, Cheyenne Mountain State Park, was not available, but this was a good alternative. 

The road going in is tight and narrow. Sites are very close together, but there are good shade trees. Our site was gravel, and we had difficulty getting it level. The park was hilly, and after it rained, we had a double rainbow right in the campground.

The park is close to Garden of the Gods, which is gorgeous both to hike and drive. At the time we were there, they were offering breakfast at an Airstream trailer for a few dollars.

We would stay here again if we were in the Colorado Springs area.
