Giant Redwoods RV Campground is located very close to the southern entrance of Humboldt Redwood State Park in the tiny town of Myers Flat, CA. It is a very clean and well-kept-up campground right on the Eel River, and they have a section of private beach only for campground residents.

We originally had reserved Site #18, a pull-through with electric and water in a nice shady spot, but they had some cancellations, and we were able to take a riverfront site for $13 more per night. This site also only had electric and water. There is one row of sites with full hooups, but they were all booked early. The dump station on our way out was very adequate, so no problem there.

We enjoyed having the riverfront site, even though it didn’t have much shade (some of the other riverfront sites do have some shade, maybe down past F and G). It felt a little more private, since we could set our chairs outside and just look out over the river. The cats liked the grass and bushes.

Clean bathrooms with codes to get in, and decent wifi, plus friendly staff and level gravel sites made this a place we would definitely come back to, if in the area. This is a great base for exploring Avenue of the Giants, and Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
