Grand Teton National Park-Signal Mountain Campground

Inner Park Road
Moran, WY 83013

Date Visited: October 2016

Site: #9, BACK-IN, ELECTRIC ONLY

We paid: $35 PER NIGHT

Review: This is a small, very hilly campground, and we barely fit our 31-foot motorhome in. It’s a beautiful setting, so worth it if you can fit. No reservations taken, and they close the second week of October.

Signal Mountain Lodge and grocery store are next door—very cold beer available at the store. Showers are expensive.  They have a dump station with water fill.

Site #9 has a view of Jackson Lake and was nice and level, unlike many of the sites, with enough trees to feel like you’re in the mountains.  Site #7, the handicapped site, is the only one with full hookups, but it is extremely unlevel.

This is a great central location for wildlife viewing and scenic drives. The campground is operated by Signal Mountain Lodge, rather than the National Park Service. It was very uncrowded in October, but get there early in the summer.

We would definitely stay here again!

It snowed on October 3rd!
