Review: This is a great state park and a very nice campground near Winslow, AZ (“I was standin’ on the corner in Winslow, Arizona…”). There are almost no trees in the campground, but you have a beautiful view of the wide-open spaces.
The sites are large pull-through, asphalt sites parallel to the road with a lot of room between sites. Beautiful sunsets and roadrunners made this a fun site to just hang out at.
You’re also within driving distance of Petrified Forest National Park, and of course, Winslow. We would definitely stay here again when traveling along Interstate 40.
