Review:
McGee Creek RV Park is a fairly small campground with lots of aspen trees south of Mammoth Lakes. Though the road through the campground is gravel and fairly rough, the site itself (#34) was very adequate with a good amount of shade and mostly level.
This campground is a great location from which to explore and hike Convict Lake, the McGee Creek Trailhead, and the Little Lakes Valley in Rock Creek Canyon. They have a nicely landscaped perimeter with wildflowers and native plants.
Hank walked around and identified other sites that would be fine to stay in: #33-36 (in our row), 19-27, 41-42 (water/electric only)
We would definitely stay here again if in the area. This is a great location and a simple, but nice campground.
