Review
The Moss Landing KOA campground sits right in the harbor with a view of the famous Moss Landing smokestacks. It is within walking distance to Phil’s Snack Shack and the beach, and is conveniently located near Moss Landing Cafe, a couple of produce stands, whale watching boats, and kayak rental places for Elkhorn Slough.
Though the park is small, it’s very well-cared for. Sites are on concrete level pads with grass and some flower bushes separating them. Campsites were very clean with picnic tables, and because of the proximity to the ocean, there was a cool breeze blowing through much of the time.
This was one of the nicest KOAs we’ve stayed in. We would definitely stay at this campsite again when visiting Monterey Bay, Elkhorn Slough, or Moss Landing. It’s located about halfway between Santa Cruz and Monterey.
