Review

Pala Casino RV Resort is only 8 miles down the road from Pechanga, but it’s a pretty windy road (unless you go the long way down the 215). The RV park is located to the west of the casino. Office staff were friendly and the check-in process was smooth. The Good Sam discount helped with the very steep cost, but the park is very well kept up. Sites have wide and level concrete pads, picnic tables, small trees and grass in between sites, and a great view of the mountains. Site #24 was in the back corner, which made it a fairly private and quiet site.

Laundry facilities were small but the machines were new and the prices reasonable ($1.50 for one washer load, $1.50 for 30 minutes on the dryer). The site has an active pool and onboard propane fills.

The campground borders a field and Highway 76. There isn’t really anything else around except the Pala Casino itself. We walked through the casino, but there’s nothing very appealing there unless they have a musical group performing.

The reason I gave this a thumbs sideways is because there’s really no reason for us to stay here again. We don’t want to visit the casino, and there’s nothing else around the campground for miles in any direction. The Pechanga RV Resort is quite a bit cheaper and more centrally located to wineries and other businesses.
