The Pechanga RV Resort campground is located a few blocks south of the Pechanga Casino in a dedicated space near Temecula. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the office was closed, but they had made check-in very easy. I received an email for pre-check in, where I entered information and paid my balance via credit card. When we arrived, there was a box outside the office with folders listed by site number. I opened our folder, signed the release and pulled out the envelope with information and a key card. We drove to our back-in site and got set up. Even though they said there was a $10 fee for arriving before 2:00 p.m., we didn’t (apparently) have to pay it because there was no one ascertaining that we were in fact early.

Sites are on concrete and somewhat level (we needed to add levelers in front). Pull-through sites are more expensive, but back-in sites are very spacious and adequate with plenty of room for the tow vehicle.

The campground has several laundry and shower facilities, spaced throughout the 210 campsites. The casino has a gas station with a car wash. There are places for small groups to gather, and a great view of the mountains from the campground. A Row has the best view of the mountains, but all the rows and sites are big and well-developed.

For a desert area, there is quite a bit of vegetation on the property, with hedges partially separating sites from one another and little grassy areas between sites. Wi-Fi was pretty weak, but otherwise the amenities were good.

This is a good location from which to do wine tasting in Temecula. We would stay here again if in the Temecula area. It’s much less expensive than Pala Casino RV Resort.
