Review: We have stayed at this park several times, beginning in Jan 2016. Be sure to reserve in advance, especially during holiday times. It’s a big park, but it fills up!

Because we arrived in the middle of a holiday week, we didn’t have a great site. The north end sites are prettier (see photo) and the south end sites, where we were, are pretty small and crowded together. It can be tough to get your tow vehicle onto the site, and a lot of people have trucks and cars sticking out onto the park roads.

But we stay here because you can’t beat the location, right on Pismo Beach. There are a few trees between sites, but not much privacy. They have a great little restaurant on site.

You can walk to downtown (or drive). You’re close to the monarch butterfly groves, the beach and within driving distance of several state parks, hiking and biking trails, etc. That’s why this place is almost always full.

We almost certainly will stay here again (and we have many times).

This photo is Site #10 at the north end. Much prettier on this side of the park, though the sites are a bit small.
