Review: This provincial park campground is conveniently located east of Halifax and Dartmouth on a very large lake. Sites are not huge, but they have gravel, and are surrounded by grass, bushes and trees.

The only sites with hookups are in loop A and they go very quickly when reservations open up. So we didn’t get one of those, but decided to stay in the park without hookups.

We had a bit of difficulty in leveling the RV, but otherwise, this was a very nice site. We had a peekaboo view of the lake and lots of privacy. We were also very close to the only bathhouse with showers and flush toilets.

The road getting into the campground was a mess—lots of potholes and very uneven. Otherwise, we liked this campground a lot. You can walk down to the lake (there’s a shortcut) or drive 45 minutes to Halifax. Lots to do in this area.
