Review:

With city and county campgrounds, you never quite know what you’re going to get, but Riverside is a great campground right on the Bulkley River in the quaint town of Smithers, BC.

We booked specific sites online, and there were signs at the campsites indicating they were reserved with our names on the reservation card. We didn’t have to check in because we already had a prepaid reservation, so we drove directly to our sites, unhooked, and backed in on these very large, grassy, level campsites.

There are trees scattered around the campground as well, and each campsite has a picnic table and firepit. There is a playground and a building with bathrooms and showers centrally located, and a few hiking/walking trails that extend from the campground.

Lots of families were enjoying this Friday night camping experience, and even our cats loved this place!

We would definitely camp here again if we were traveling between the Cassiar Highway and Prince George.
