SCUSSET BEACH STATE RESERVATION CAMPGROUND

140 Scusset Beach Road, Sagamore Beach, MA 02562

Date Visited: May 2019

Site: 23—BACK-IN, WATER AND ELECTRIC, 50 AMP, Dump Station nearby

WE PAID: $49 PER NIGHT

Review: We had read online that you should bring extra-long cables and connectors for this campground, and that’s correct. The electric hookup box is right in the back of each site, but the water serves four different campsites and it’s a long way from the rig, so having an extra long hose will really help.

This is an easy campground to get to, especially for a state park. It’s pretty flat with freeways and major roads almost all the way. There are not too many trees between sites, but there’s a lot of grass and it’s quiet.

This campground was a great location from which to visit Cape Cod, Nantucket, Hyannis, New Bedford, Newport (Rhode Island), Plimoth Plantation, and even Boston (we took the T from Quincy to go to a Red Sox game). It’s also a lovely spot just to hang out, ride bikes on the Cape Cod Canal, or visit Cape Cod Bay.

We would definitely stay in this park again.
