Review: This is a gorgeous state park and campground, with lots of trees, Spanish moss, shade and very large drive-through sites. You used to pick your own site, so we had to choose in the midst of pouring rain (drove the car around to choose the site). Now I understand you can reserve sites ahead of time.
Site 39 was a good choice because it wasn’t under water, in spite of all the rain. There are easy hiking and biking trails right from the campground.
Sites were gravel and fairly level. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to the Savannah area.
