Review:
St Mary/East Glacier KOA is located on St Mary Lake, about two miles from the St Mary entrance to Glacier National Park. This campground is just a bit out of town in a private, rural setting.
While some people complained in reviews about the unlevel campsites, we found F-9 to be only a little unlevel, and certainly within the capabilities of our blocks and leveling system. The campsites have gravel with grass in between sites. Though there are few trees beween sites, there is plenty of room between campsites.
Site B-3 was on gravel, a bit unlevel, but with very nice views of the mountains. Site B-6 and those from B-7 to B-13 would be even better (though probably more expensive).
We also really liked the Electric and Water sites in the L section, which have some shade trees and are very level.
This campground has a lot of amenities—a nice pool, access to the lake with kayaks you can rent, a very well-stocked store, a large laundry room, and well-maintained grounds.
We would definitely stay here again in order to access Glacier National Park from the east side.
