This campground does not take reservations, so we got there as early as possible (around 1:00 p.m.), filled up the water tank and used the dump station, then grabbed one of the last-available shaded sites along the Little Missouri River.

We were here during a heat wave, so we did our activities in the evening and first thing in the morning, but it was no problem to run the generator during the day when we were home (so we could use the A/C).

The campground is centrally located to do scenic driving, and the hike on Little Mo Nature Trail starts right near the campground.  The campground programs were fun and informative, and the sites were spacious.
