Review: Triple G Hideaway RV Park is basically the only game in the town of Fort Nelson, BC. Nevertheless, it is a solid RV park with many pull-through and back-in sites to accommodate campers heading up the Alaska Highway. You check in at the restaurant, and they escort you to your site.
Sites were level gravel with a little grass in between each site. The back-in sites had quite a few trees in back of them, though sites were in general pretty close together. There was a lot of smoke in the air because of fires further east and south, but fortunately, the fires did not impede our travels.
Some of our group ate at the restaurant for breakfast and said it was very good. The campground is located right next to the Fort Nelson Heritage Museum and across the highway from the Visitor Centre in town.
We got gas at Fas Gas, which was just a couple of miles from the campground with an easy in/out.
Though this campground was nothing special, it was adequate for our one-night stay and we would definitely stay here again if we were traveling the Alaska Highway.
