Review:
Yellowstone RV Park is in a great location, just outside of Gardiner, Montana, and just across the river from the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
It is located right on the Yellowstone River, which is its best feature. The campground is located at the bottom of a stepp hill, and campsites are level gravel sites with just a tiny bit of grass and a few trees in between.
Sites are quite cramped, and many people had their tow vehicles or trucks sticking out along the main thoroughfare.
The laundry facilities were clean and adequate (4 washers and 4 dryers, reasonably priced).
If you’re on the river, this is a nice way to go. Otherwise, it just feels like a gravel parking lot. We had previously stayed in Rocky Mountain RV Park (now Sun Outdoors Yellowstone North). That is a bit nicer of a park, but we will not stay there again after they refused to give us any refund when we had to cancel a week in advance after my mother fell last summer. Now that Sun Outdoors (a corporation) owns the other RV park in Gardiner, we probably would stay at Yellowstone RV again, even though it’s not great.
